  Searching and looking for a photographer in Hawaii was so key for my husband and I, we wanted to capture a mentos milestone in celebrating my mother in-laws 65th birthday with our family while in Hawaii.
Out of all the photographer's we looked into, Daphne Hargrove's work seems to fit us based on her work and style!
We're so grateful and blessed to work with her pre, during and post photoshoot. She was understanding, had great packages and options to offer, accommodating and helped us plan/prepare well for the day of my mother-in-law's photoshoot.
My husband and I also had an opportunity to shoot some fitness pics that we prearranged with her prior to the photoshoot.
With all that to say, Daphne is very personable, professional and really knows how to get the best out of each individual through the lens and off the lens. Let me tell you, the finished product did not disappoint, our photos were beautiful and epic!
Daphne's work and service is top notch, she's great at her craft and we definitely will work her again in the near future!

  Amazing from beginning to end! Patient, kind and an absolute pleasure to work with. We were a large group with littles and she worked with us to make sure we got plenty of pictures with the separate families as well as a group.

  Daphne took senior and family portraits for us during our recent visit to Hawaii. It can be challenging to find a good photographer, even more so when you are from out of state and can't ask friends for recommendations. So we relied heavily on online reviews, and as you can see, Daphne has loads of great ones! I can easily agree with what others have said here!

Daphne quickly put us all at ease. She has a good balance between giving direction while also letting individual personalities shine through. She is positive, quick to respond to messages, and also captured some amazing pictures and memories for us. We'd easily recommend her to our friends or anyone else!

  It was such a wonderful experience working with Daphne. Her response to every email I sent was prompt and friendly. The shoot itself was so much fun. She had a way of making me feel so comfortable!   My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with Daphne. She is so sweet and was wonderful to work with.

The day of our maternity shoot, she texted me and asked if I wanted to change locations. Due to the high wind in the original place I had chosen. I thought that was awesome since I have VERY long hair and that would've been a disaster.

As our day progressed, we had a last minute change of location and she was happy to accommodate us. That really speaks volumes to her professionalism and she continued to provide excellent customer service through the day.

Our one hour shoot went by so quick and she was always very encouraging and engaging. We received our photos and everyone I've shared them with said they LOVED them. Thank you for your kind words and beautiful photos...we will treasure them!!

  Daphne did an amazing job with our family photoshoot! She offered great suggestions for the location, was consistently communicating with us and ultimately captured some fantastic pics of my young kids, one of whom hates smiling for photos! She is so wonderful to work with! Can't wait to work with her again the next time we're in Oahu! Cannot recommend her enough!

  The photos Daphne took were absolutely beautiful even though we took them on such a cloudy and windy day.   We were so impressed with Daphne!! Before the shoot we found a time that worked for everyone and she suggested several locations. We picked a beach location that was both beautiful and convenient. I was worried about the chaos shooting photos with 11 extended family members (including 4 babies/kids), but Daphne was an absolute master. She was great at arranging photos for individual families, the whole group, grandkids, grandparents, couple photos, etc. She even managed to capture smiles from the 4-month old twins! I would highly recommend Daphne and hope we can book with her again in the future!

  WoW!!! Family Pics on Oahu were exceptional!! Family of 14, individual families, grandkids, & couples. Working with her was the best. I knew I'd found a professional from the consistent communication months before meeting. Daphne's care in what we were wanting as well as obtaining the best from her expertise in lighting, locations, and impromptu moments, gave us many smiles in picture review. Keeping me calm amidst a family member challenge was totally recognized (thank you). She exudes, kindness, patience (lots), and fun. A great time was definitely had by all, with all agreeing we would use and refer her again. Pictures were drop boxed timely and she continued to make herself available in communication. Use her!!

  Daphne took my daughter's senior portraits and they were incredible. Daphne does phenomenal work and has a very warm and friendly personality. She was able to make my daughter feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the session. For us, this was very important. I think my daughter is a true Gen Z or whatever, she relates more to her phone than to other people. As such, she can sometimes have difficulty connecting with an actual person in front of her. Not so with Daphne, she said that she felt like Daphne was someone she had always known. Her smiles looked so genuine and I don't think this would have happened without Daphne. Daphne is also really easy to contact through email and DM and very responsive. She is a very positive person and I am looking forward to having her take pictures the next time the need arises. "My wife and I were lucky enough to have Daphne capture some of the most important moments of our lives and wish there were five more stars to select. She is fun and easy to work with, is extremely sensitive to the needs of the subjects she shoots (she took the greatest care to be aware of the needs of our newborn daughter during the shoot), is on time for everything (including an incredible turnaround time for delivery of the pictures), and has an artistic style and eye that most photographers spend an entire career trying to perfect. She also has a sense of aloha that far too many photographers on island seem to either not have or leave at home. And did I mention affordability? Hands down the best value we've ever had with a photographer - especially for the high quality product that we now have. She took three sessions for us: 1. Maternity shots just a week before our daughter was born. 2. Newborn pictures of our daughter. 3. Family pictures of us, our daughter and our dog (focusing more on our dog). Note: our dog has since passed and we feel honored that Daphne was able to capture our family together with him. For all three sessions, Daphne was INCREDIBLE and the final product still has us so happy that we often sit down and browse through the memories as if they were yesterday. Fun and Fantastic Pictures
"I have to admit that this is my first review; I'm an avid reader of reviews, but don't take the time to actually write a review. However, my photo shoots with Daphne have been so outstanding that I feel compelled to share my experience with others. She's amazing. I was introduced to Daphne through a friend, and was immediately impressed with the creative, expressive, and professional quality of her photos. I've already used her for four different photo shoots in the past 2 years - an early maternity, a late maternity, at the hospital when baby was born, and at home when baby was 5 days old. And trust me; if she can make me look this good right after I've given birth, then she's a true magician. I prefer Daphne over any other photographer I've worked with because she's fun, flexible, respectful, artistic, very professional, and quick - I'm still in awe at how many fantastic pictures she gets in so little time. How does she do it? I had one photo shoot where I was running late, and made it to the beach for a sunset shoot right as the sun was setting. In less than 20 minutes, she shot some incredible photos from all different angles on a packed beach...and yet the photos made it look like we were the only ones there, and we had over a 100 outstanding pictures to choose from. The other thing I like about Daphne is her quick response and turn around with the photos. She's returned all final photos in less than a week. I've had to wait 6 weeks to several months for other photographers. I've always felt comfortable and at ease during the photo shoots because of Daphne's easy-going and enthusiastic nature. It's so much fun doing a photo shoot with her! She has a keen eye for design in structured poses, and yet is also able to capture spontaneous, unplanned moments in a photojournalist style. It's like getting the best of both worlds in a photographer. So, I enthusiastically give Daphne 5 stars. I hope to use her as our family photographer for life!"

I'm a Realtor and have worked with many photographers and have seen good photos and REALLY bad photos, and any one who has worked with Daphne knows that she is an outstanding creative photographer who really goes the extra mile! "Daphne did a boudoir shoot for my 40th birthday as a gift for myself and for my husband's upcoming birthday. At first I was hesitant because as a woman I'm sure you can relate when I say it's never a perfect time to do one of these shoots because there's always more weight to lose, more sit ups for tighter abs, more squats for a better rear etc...I finally said just do it because I'll never be perfect. When I met Daphne, she made me feel comfortable immediately. Sweetest person and kept it light and fun.
