  Daphne came highly recommended by a friend. We were visiting Oahu for vacation and had planned a family maternity session. Due to the weather, Daphne suggested a different location than originally planned and it worked out wonderfully. Daphne was very accommodating and helpful. We were running late for our morning session, but Daphne was very kind and patient with us. We didn't feel rushed during our shoot at all and she was great with our little one! Our photos turned out beautifully. I highly recommend Daphne!

  WoW!!! Family Pics on Oahu were exceptional!! Family of 14, individual families, grandkids, & couples. Working with her was the best. I knew I'd found a professional from the consistent communication months before meeting. Daphne's care in what we were wanting as well as obtaining the best from her expertise in lighting, locations, and impromptu moments, gave us many smiles in picture review. Keeping me calm amidst a family member challenge was totally recognized (thank you). She exudes, kindness, patience (lots), and fun. A great time was definitely had by all, with all agreeing we would use and refer her again. Pictures were drop boxed timely and she continued to make herself available in communication. Use her!!

  I found our perfamily photographer!!!!!
From start to finish Daphne was excellent to work with. She responded quickly and worked around our vacation schedule. She recommended a place we could walk to with a natural lagoon that made for an excellent back drop.
She is also the first photographer to recommend an early morning start which made such a difference for my family's comfort during the shoot (and kept my makeup from melting off). She was also quite simply wonderful at working with my 4.5 year old.
She kept him smiling and the photos are just exceptional!!! I'm excited to re-book her next year during our annual trip to Hawaii.

  Daphne was amazing!!! My (now) fiancé surprised me with a photoshoot with Daphne (and surprise engagement) and the photos turned out incredible. She knew exactly how to have us pose and what to do and say to make us feel comfortable. The location was absolutely stunning, here are a couple of our photos that really capture the love and location! When we make our return to the island we definitely would love to use Daphnes services again.

  My husband and I have never done a photo shoot before. After doing some research online, we saw that Daphne was reasonably priced. While discussing a date, she responded in a timely manner. The photo shoot itself was a blast. Daphne had great energy and made us feel very comfortable. I would add she's also very flexible, especially with the weather. It was raining off and on during our photo shoot but that didn't stop her from taking amazing shots and from having a good time. I would recommend Daphne and hope we can continue working with her to commemorate future milestones.

  It was such a wonderful experience working with Daphne. Her response to every email I sent was prompt and friendly. The shoot itself was so much fun. She had a way of making me feel so comfortable! Her guidance with poses was clear and professional. When I received my photos, I was amazed. The quality of her work is out of this world, and I am so happy I was referred to her. Highly recommend!

  The photos Daphne took were absolutely beautiful even though we took them on such a cloudy and windy day. We never took professional photos before but she worked with us and told us exactly what to do and we look so good thank you so much Daphne! Next time we come we're definitely booking her again!

  Searching and looking for a photographer in Hawaii was so key for my husband and I, we wanted to capture a mentos milestone in celebrating my mother in-laws 65th birthday with our family while in Hawaii.
Out of all the photographer's we looked into, Daphne Hargrove's work seems to fit us based on her work and style!
We're so grateful and blessed to work with her pre, during and post photoshoot. She was understanding, had great packages and options to offer, accommodating and helped us plan/prepare well for the day of my mother-in-law's photoshoot.
My husband and I also had an opportunity to shoot some fitness pics that we prearranged with her prior to the photoshoot.
With all that to say, Daphne is very personable, professional and really knows how to get the best out of each individual through the lens and off the lens. Let me tell you, the finished product did not disappoint, our photos were beautiful and epic!
Daphne's work and service is top notch, she's great at her craft and we definitely will work her again in the near future!

  I wasn't sure what to expect because we found Daphne through yelp. But from the moment I reached four to her via email, Daphne was amazing! From beginning to end, she was so was professional, personable, and incredibly brilliant! Our family is a quiet bunch, but she kept the entire mood of the photoshoot upbeat and fun.   My husband and I had a photoshoot last week with Daphne and had a wonderful experience. Our photos came out exceptional! It was better than expected. She gave us our photos within the estimated time frame and I can tell she works hard on her photos! I'm in love with how beautiful the pictures came out.

Daphne has a way of making you feel comfortable during the photoshoot and everything just felt really natural as a result. I'm so thankful I was able to find a good photographer during my short stay in Oahu.

Aside from her great photography skills, she was also very responsive during the whole process and made sure to give clear instructions during each step of the process. 🙂 Also, I am thankful she gave suggestions on where to go for the photoshoot as I did not have a place in mind. She picked a place that was close to my hotel as I did not have a car rental. The place she recommended was beautiful and ended up being one of our new favorites! I would definitely recommend my family and friends to take photos with Daphne if they are in Oahu!

  I couldn't be more happy that I found Daphne to take my family pictures. She's the sweetest! I had to do some research to find a photographer as we were traveling from California. She was able to schedule us in during our vacation in Hawaii. Communication was on key! She gave options & recommendations for locations. She was awesome with my son! I was pleased that the one hour photoshoot never once felt rushed. She made sure she wasn't missing any pictures & asked if there was more pictures we wanted to take. The pictures came out absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! I look forward to using her in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

"My wife and I were lucky enough to have Daphne capture some of the most important moments of our lives and wish there were five more stars to select. She is fun and easy to work with, is extremely sensitive to the needs of the subjects she shoots (she took the greatest care to be aware of the needs of our newborn daughter during the shoot), is on time for everything (including an incredible turnaround time for delivery of the pictures), and has an artistic style and eye that most photographers spend an entire career trying to perfect. She also has a sense of aloha that far too many photographers on island seem to either not have or leave at home. And did I mention affordability? Hands down the best value we've ever had with a photographer - especially for the high quality product that we now have. She took three sessions for us: 1. Maternity shots just a week before our daughter was born. 2. Newborn pictures of our daughter. 3. Family pictures of us, our daughter and our dog (focusing more on our dog). Note: our dog has since passed and we feel honored that Daphne was able to capture our family together with him. Fun and Fantastic Pictures
"I have to admit that this is my first review; I'm an avid reader of reviews, but don't take the time to actually write a review. However, my photo shoots with Daphne have been so outstanding that I feel compelled to share my experience with others. She's amazing. I was introduced to Daphne through a friend, and was immediately impressed with the creative, expressive, and professional quality of her photos. I've already used her for four different photo shoots in the past 2 years - an early maternity, a late maternity, at the hospital when baby was born, and at home when baby was 5 days old. And trust me; if she can make me look this good right after I've given birth, then she's a true magician. I prefer Daphne over any other photographer I've worked with because she's fun, flexible, respectful, artistic, very professional, and quick - I'm still in awe at how many fantastic pictures she gets in so little time. How does she do it? I had one photo shoot where I was running late, and made it to the beach for a sunset shoot right as the sun was setting. In less than 20 minutes, she shot some incredible photos from all different angles on a packed beach...and yet the photos made it look like we were the only ones there, and we had over a 100 outstanding pictures to choose from. The other thing I like about Daphne is her quick response and turn around with the photos. She's returned all final photos in less than a week. I've had to wait 6 weeks to several months for other photographers. I've always felt comfortable and at ease during the photo shoots because of Daphne's easy-going and enthusiastic nature. It's so much fun doing a photo shoot with her! She has a keen eye for design in structured poses, and yet is also able to capture spontaneous, unplanned moments in a photojournalist style. It's like getting the best of both worlds in a photographer. So, I enthusiastically give Daphne 5 stars. I hope to use her as our family photographer for life!"

"Daphne did a boudoir shoot for my 40th birthday as a gift for myself and for my husband's upcoming birthday. At first I was hesitant because as a woman I'm sure you can relate when I say it's never a perfect time to do one of these shoots because there's always more weight to lose, more sit ups for tighter abs, more squats for a better rear etc...I finally said just do it because I'll never be perfect. When I met Daphne, she made me feel comfortable immediately. Sweetest person and kept it light and fun.
